The DOMINO DF 500 is particularly easy to use and offers almost unlimited jointing possibilities. No matter whether it is panel or cabinet construction, for lightweight frame or butt joints – the DF 500 impresses with maximum precision, flexibility and simple handling.|Unique among handheld machines and patented by Festool: The DOMINO DF 500 routing motion. The simultaneous rotating and pendulum movement of the bit allows smooth operation and perfect mortises. Thanks to the pendulum motion, the bits do not overheat, leading to an extremely long bit life.|Custom-fit alignment: The first DOMINO tenon is positioned in a precision cut elongated hole, the next DOMINO tenons are inserted into wider elongated holes with play so that the joint can be aligned effortlessly. The result is a stable joint, protected against rotation.|One of the main advantages of working with the DOMINO DF 500 is that there is no need for extensive measuring or marking – with the DOMINO DF 500, fast and precise positioning is very easy thanks to the integrated stops.|For great flexibility and precision: You select your required mortising depth using the detent lever lock. The options are 12 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm and 28 mm.|The special shape of the DOMINO tenon in combination with embossed glue pockets and side grooves gives the tenons a secure grip. You can use the Festool DOMINO DF 500 joining machine to process DOMINO tenons up to 10 x 50 mm in size.|Precision miter routing using presets or infinitely variable routing angle adjustment.|Even thin workpieces from ½” (12 mm) can be easily joined – ideal for drawer sides.|DOMINO tenons are available in two materials: Beech for interior applications and weatherproof, insect- and mold-resistant Sipo for outdoor applications.|Due to the oblong shape of the tenons, joints are stable and free from rotation.|All DOMINO tenons originate from sustainable forest management. The beech dowels are certified by the Pan European Forest Council (PEFC).|The DOMINO Joiner routing motion produces wood chips in the mortise.
